Weiss ratings: Ripple (XRP) payments could soon launch on Skype

  • The support on Skype comes after a request to have XRP transfers brought on board.

The cryptocurrency community could soon see the integration of XRP into Microsoft’s communication application, Skype according to tween by Weiss Ratings; a financial assets rating agency. The integration will see users on the platform tip each other as well as send and receive micropayments using an XRP TipBot.

XRP TipBot is a development by XRPL Labs. The bot has already been integrated on other platforms including Twitter, Gmail, Reddit as well as Microsoft Outlook. The support on Skype comes after a request to have XRP transfers brought on board was published on the Skype forum. Microsoft has for a while been testing blockchain solutions as well as several other projects that utilize its Azure cloud platform.
