Bitcoin Cash offsprings holy war in full swing

  • What is trading under BCH ticker?
  • Huobi and a number of other prominent exchanges accept Bitcoin ABC as true Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) ceased to exist on November 15, but it is still represented in the ratings of global cryptocurrencies, while crypto brokers supply quotes for BCH. According to the most recent data of CoinMarketCap website, Bitcoin Cash still takes the fourth place, changing hands at $361, down five percents in recent 24 hours. However, it is difficult to say it this data is correct as some cryptocurrency exchanges still have BCH accounts frozen and the rest provide quotes in the range from $250 (Bitfinex)  to $653 (WEX).

How comes, and what hides under BCH mask?

Some cryptocurrency exchanges have already made their choice between Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV. Thus, Huobi, the third largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volumes, announced that considers Bitcoin ABC with the longer chain as the "true Bitcoin Cash" and assigns it with BCH ticker.

"Bitcoin Cash ABC to Be Re-Designated BCH and Trading Announcement of Bitcoin SV (BSV) Huobi Global has confirmed that the ABC version of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) will be retained for the designation of BCH," the company said it the announcement.

The new coin started trading under BCH ticker on Sunday, though traders will be able to deposit and withdraw coins starting from Monday, November 19.

A number of other large players, including Kraken, BitPay, Bitstamp, Coinbase, Bithumb, Upbit и Bittrex, have made a similar decision.

However, the head of Binance earlier said that the exchange will have both tickers - BCHABC и BCHSV.

According to Coin.Dance data, Bitcoin ABC chain is really stronger than Bitcoin SV. Meanwhile, Bitcoin SV supporters refuse to admit defeat.

"In our hash competition, we have seen the ABC team bring on their strongest sprinters. We are just at the trials and not yet on the finals to Marathon and they have made a remarkable burst to do a 9.9 second 100m (unfortunately in the wrong direction)," Craig Wright wrote recently in his Twitter account.
