Week Ahead Commodity Report: April 16-20, 2018 | US, UK, France Strike Syria | Gold Price Forecast [VIDEO]

Gold prices climbed higher on Friday as U.S tensions with Russia and China fed the precious metal’s investment appeal, sending prices up for a second straight week.

The U.S launched air strikes on Syria in a combined operation with France and Britain in response to a suspected poison gas attack that killed dozens of people last week. The action was aimed at degrading its chemical weapons capabilities in the biggest intervention yet in the conflict by western powers. The Pentagon confirmed on Saturday morning that 105 weapons were used in total.

All eyes will now be on precious metals as investors seek safe-havens amid concerns of a major sell-off in global equity markets if the volatility intensifies further. Where are prices heading next week?

Watch The Gold & Silver Club analyse the precious metals with the latest gold price forecast and predictions.
