19th Oct, a key date world-wide

Dear Fellow Stargazers,

Happy Full Hunter’s Moon!  - that special time of year when hopefully we can enjoy many moonlit nights and perhaps see clearly what has been hidden.

But that’s not all….

The day before the NEXT Full Moon (12th November) Mercury transits the face of the Sun – something that happens about 13 times in each century. The last transit was in November 2016 and before that, in 2006. Both events coincided with minor highs on the S&P index.

EQUITIES LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER

Before the next Full Moon, Mercury stations to turn retrograde– yes, on Hallowe’en on October 31st (Brexit day for some). This comes hard on the heels of three other major aspects that week covering the 90th anniversary of the Wall Street Crash of 1928. Surely there will be echoes of the past. At the very least a bumpy and hard ride is to be expected that week. (Though true, that should bring a buying opportunity).

October 19th

If you are in the UK, you will be aware that Parliament is sitting next Saturday to discuss the Brexit deal. Some of you will know that the debate starts with a Void of Couse Moon (which doesn’t bode well for a definitive outcome). Just a few hours ahead of the opening of the debate, Jupiter arrives in Capricorn (from the heliocentric perspective). Though much attention is being given to the large group of planets in Capricorn (geocentric) in January 2020, Jupiter’s heliocentric crossing of the World Axis on 19th October suggests that this will be a key date world-wide. Whilst it is to be hoped that we won’t witness an escalation of war (especially in the Middle East which has form with this planetary alignment), it is a very real possibility and will surely displace Brexit discussions from the front page.

(Please note that from the draconic perspective Jupiter is moving through Virgo. As is said, ‘the devil is in the detail’ and likely unrealistic that issues regarding the Back-Stop and Ireland will be resolved by 31st October).

CAPRICORN and BONDS

This is the sign of the zodiac associated with governments and companies which have apparent longevity. And yes, as Jupiter moves through this sign, they could appear all powerful. Yet this is not a permanent condition and the planets will move on. I have very real concern that we will witness a collapse in the bond markets before Jupiter leaves this sign in December 2020.

PRECIOUS METALS

So where best to invest? Gold is still viewed as safe haven. Its price could fall in early November as Venus makes passage through geocentric Sagittarius which will surely make this a buying opportunity.  Yet this is not the only precious metal to consider. Silver has been second choice but there are plenty of other commodities out there which are worthy of consideration: platinum being high on my list.  From late January I anticipate that currency markets will be in a state of great flux and gold and other precious metal prices soar.

PLANETARY GEOMETRY AND 9-11 DEGREES FIXED SIGNS

You may recall that there was a lunar eclipse in late January 2018 – and at 11 Leo/Aquarius (two of the Fixed signs). That event was followed in 2018 by Mercury, Venus and Mars each stationing between 9 and 11 degrees of Fixed signs. Mercury will station at 11 Scorpio on November 21st and do so at the same degree again in 2020.

Clearly this draws attention to those (people or countries including Poland, the Arab federation, Sudan) with planets at the degree (or with birthdays around 4 February, May, August or November).Note too that these degrees will be highlighted again in 2021 when Saturn and Uranus arrive at their Last Quarter phase: completing this at the solstice (a key date) in December that year.

It is worth pointing out that the 1801 chart for the UK (often thought of as the UK PLC chart) has Mars at 11 Taurus! The Brexit mire and financial consequences could ring on long last the next Full Moon.

But back to today’s Hunter’s Moon and its square to Pluto. This event, coinciding with high tides as brought a Super Typhoon to Japan. That may not be the only natural disaster to be faced in the coming days. Pressure on the Earth’s crust could yet bring major earthquake upheaval.

At a level at which there is human control, we might also wonder if there will be an escalation of challenges in the Straits of Hormuz and also in Hong Kong. Tensions in so many parts of the world are clearly running very high.

Pluto though is all about power. Dominating news headlines, abuse of power was always likely to be headline news at the Full Moon. The impeachment and other threats to Prime Ministers, presidents and leaders of all kinds fits with this planetary picture with growing calls for legal action to be taken once Jupiter crosses that World Axis mid month.

PERSONAL

Thanks I am sure to the many good wishes as much as to medical care my husband should return home in the next two weeks after 2 months in hospital. We have witnessed some extra-ordinary acts of compassion and care during this time. Now we have to get used to a new daily rhythm allowing for his postural hypotension (a bore and very difficult to treat but all ideas and experience of treating this welcome) Although I have had to postpone my trip to Toronto, this will be reinstated soon I hope.

I can now re-open some of the consulting time slots that had to be closed during these few weeks. I can also plan webinar dates and – once there is clear guidance about new tax rules from our government about new tax rules post Brexit, - and get the financial course up and running. As always I am grateful to my friends at Optuma who will make their software available for a free month trial to students when we do get started. Darren at Optuma has been helping with some of the many charts to be used and double checking statistic and calculations.

Wishing you all a safe, health and happy month

Yours from the Stars

Christeen
