US Pres. Trump: US dollar will be even stronger in my second term

US President Donald Trump told Fox Business Network on Thursday that he had made the US dollar strong and said that the currency will be even stronger if he is reelected for his second term.

With respect to potentially implementing a capital gain tax cut, Trump said he would like to lower the capital gain tax to 15%.

Market reaction

Market participants don't seem to be paying any mid to these remarks. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was down 0.32% on a daily basis at 93.12.
