US: Philly Fed Nonmanufacturing Index improves sharply to 59.6 in June from 36.9

The headline Regional Business Activity Index of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's Nonmanufacturing Business Outlook Survey improved decisively to 59.6 in June from 36.9 in May.

Further details of the publication revealed that the Firm-level Business Activity Index jumped to 56.7 from 22.1 and the Full-time Employment Index dropped to 4.3 from 24.

Market reaction

This report doesn't seem to be having a significant impact on the USD's performance against its major rivals. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was up 0.3% on the day at 92.11.
