US’ Manchin: Sides “Not that far apart” in infrastructure talks

Providing an update over the US infrastructure spending bill negotiations on the US Senate, Democratic Senator Joe Manchin said that he supports Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s plan to hold a vote on Wednesday.

The diplomat also signaled that both sides are close in negotiations.

It’s worth noting that the lower house will hold a procedural vote on the US President Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure spending bill on Wednesday, per Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Though not all details will be voted and the final decision may not roll out the same day.
