US’ Manchin: Sides “Not that far apart” in infrastructure talks
|Providing an update over the US infrastructure spending bill negotiations on the US Senate, Democratic Senator Joe Manchin said that he supports Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s plan to hold a vote on Wednesday.
The diplomat also signaled that both sides are close in negotiations.
It’s worth noting that the lower house will hold a procedural vote on the US President Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure spending bill on Wednesday, per Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Though not all details will be voted and the final decision may not roll out the same day.
