US: Existing Home Sales rise by 1.4% in June, median home prices surge by 23.4% YoY

  • Existing Home Sales in the US rose modestly in June. 
  • US Dollar Index stays in the negative territory below 92.70.

After declining by 1.2% on a monthly basis in May, Existing Home Sales in the US rose by 1.4% in June, the data published by the National Association of Realtors showed on Thursday. 

Further details of the publication revealed that the national median home price for existing homes increased by 23.4% from June 2020 to $363,000.

Market reaction

This report doesn't seem to be having a significant impact on the greenback's performance against its major rivals. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was down 0.15% on the day at 92.63.
