US, China discuss possible meeting at G20 next week – Reuters

Reuters is out with the latest report, citing sources from the Financial Times, noting that a probable meeting is being discussed between the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi at G20 next week.

Nothing further is reported on the same.

Earlier on, a Chinese military command spokesperson said that the nation’s military is ready to respond to all provocation while referring to the US destroyer’s sixth Taiwan strait transit.

Market reaction

In a knee-jerk reaction to the above headlines, AUD/USD popped to test the daily highs of 0.7559, where it now wavers. The spot recovered entire Asian losses.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 futures hold onto the recent gains to now trade near 4,250.
