UK’s Smith: Any threat to withdraw UK-Irish security cooperation is unacceptable

Julian Smith, the UK minister for Northern Ireland, took out to Twitter, noting that any threat to withdraw security cooperation with Ireland was unacceptable and not in the interests of the province or the wider UK, as cited by Reuters.

Smith said: “I am clear that any threat to withdrawing the security cooperation with Ireland is unacceptable. This is not in the interest of NI or the Union.”
