Ukraine Pres' Zelenskyy: Ukraine to insist on sovereignty and territorial integrity with talks with Russia
|Reuters has reported that Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine is to insist on sovereignty and territorial integrity at the next round of talks with Russia in Turkey.
Ukrainian negotiator David Arakhamia announced the next round of one-on-one talks between Kyiv and Moscow on Sunday that will take place between March 28-30.
Ukraine described previous talks with Russia, launched after Russia unleashed an invasion last month, as "very difficult."
Maintaining its neutral and balanced stance, Turkey continues its diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the Ukraine conflict.
Meanwhile, markets are in anticipation of heightened tensions as the US President returns to the White House after his trip to meet European leaders and having said the Russian President Vladamir Putin cannot remain in power. White House officials are walking back this statement, saying he wasn't calling for regime change.
