Norges Bank signals March hike - TDS

Analysts at TD Securities point out that the Norges bank signaled a March hike at their December meeting but emphasized a cautious approach to raising rates thereafter.

Key Quotes

“The Bank revised lower their rate path yet again for 2020 and 2021, albeit marginally (roughly -10bps). That leaves a dovish tilt to the meeting though markets looked more to the March signal which left NOK and rates trading higher. Our view for a March hike followed by a hike every six months still holds.”
