New Zealand FinMin Robertson: The government plans to review whether RBNZ’s bank supervisory regime is sufficiently strong

New Zealand’s Finance Minister Grant Robertson was on wires during early Monday conveying plans to introduce bank deposit protection plan.

Mr. Robertson says that government is likely to offer 30K New Zealand Dollar (NZD) to 50K NZD plan to safeguard bank deposit.

He also mentions the plan to review whether the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s (RBNZ) bank supervisory regime is sufficiently strong.
