UPGRADEMeta Platforms (META) stock saw confident gains in Wednesday's post-market after releasing an impressive beat for the first quarter.
Mark Zuckerberg's social media powerhouse witnessed GAAP EPS of $6.43, $1.21 or 23% ahead of the Wall Street consensus. Revenue of $42.3 billion rose 16% YoY and bested the consensus by just under $1 billion.
Daily active users in the quarter was 3.43 billion, up 6% YoY. Ad impressions rose 5% YoY for the Family of Apps that includes Facebook and Instagram. The average price per ad rose 10% YoY.
Meta expects revenue for the second quarter of 2025 to arrive between $42.5 and 45.5 billion, which is a guidance hike above the consensus for $41.36 billion.
