Key data coming from Asia this week? - UOB

Analysts at Nomura explained that the key day for Japan this week is Friday, where we will receive CPI, labour market and household spending reports for June. 

Key Quotes:

"Before that, we will receive an update on small business confidence on Wednesday.

Australia posts 2Q inflation data on Wednesday where we expect a 0.4% q/q gain, 2.2% y/y. 

Shortly after the CPI is released, RBA Governor Philip Lowe will deliver what is likely to be a very closely followed speech discussing the “The Labour Market and Monetary Policy".

Later in the week, international trade prices for 2Q are due Thursday, and 2Q producer prices are due on Friday.

In New Zealand, Wednesday’s June merchandise trade report is the highlight of a quiet week. The key Canadian release is May’s GDP report due on Friday."
