Fed's Bullard: The time is right to pull back on stimulus measures

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on Tuesday,
St Louis Fed President James Bullard said that the time is right to pull back on stimulus measures.

"We do want to do it gently and carefully."

"I think we are in a very good position to start a taper."

"A bit concerned that Fed is feeding a housing bubble."

"Don't think will have any trouble at all in meeting "substantial further progress".

"Does not expect Fed funds rate to be raised until late 2022.".

Market reaction

Amid hawkish comments from Bullard, the US dollar is testing highs, trading at 92.37, up 0.11% on the day. Focus remains on the US CPI.
