Economic event risks today, all about BoJ - Westpac

Analysts at Westpac noted the economic event risks today in Asia.

Key Quotes:

"NZ: ANZ business confidence and activity is an occasional market mover.

Australia: Private sector credit. Momentum has slowed in recent months. The impact of the May rate cut should be seen in a few months but not yet. Q2 PPI is also out but has limited usefulness now that it lags the CPI release.

Japan: Probably the market highlight for the day, the Bank of Japan is expected to put asset purchases and rates on the table, including an expansion of equity purchases and debt instrument available to buy. Also possible are cuts to deposit rates and lending rates, and potentially other liquidity measures.

Eurozone: Q2 GDP Euro GDP to follow example of 2015, with robust Q1 giving way to moderate gains. 0.4% expected in Q2."
