China’s Sept trade data (USD): Trade surplus shrinks, misses estimates

The China customs published trade balance for Sept in USD terms, reporting a big drop in the Chinese trade surplus, missing market expectations.

In USD terms,

Trade Balance (USD) June came in at 28.47B surplus versus 38.00B exp and 41.92B previous.

Exports (YoY) June: +8.1% (est. +10.0% and 5.6% last)

 Imports (YoY) June: +18.7% (est. +14.7% and 13.5% last)
