China CNY Trade Balance clocks in at 213.2 billion

China's Trade Balance (in CNY terms) printed far above expectations, coming in at 213.2 billion Yuan versus the 136.2 billion market call, with the previous reading at 179.75 billion.

Key highlights

The off-kilter Trade Balance forecast is owed primarily to a big swing in the annualized Exports for September: Imports for September (also in CNY) printed at 17.1%, above the 15.2% forecast with the last reading at 18.8%, while CNY-based Exports surged to 17.0% (forecast 10.4%, previous 7.9%).
