Asian Development Bank trims developing Asia 2019 growth forecasts

Developing Asia could grow more slowly than previously expected next year, courtesy of the US-China trade war, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Wednesday.

The region is seen producing a growth rate of 5.8 percent next year, down from the previous forecast of 5.9 percent. The Manila-based institution kept its 2018 economic growth estimate for the region at 6.0 percent and revised lower the 2019 forecast for China growth to 6.3 percent from the July forecast of 6.4 percent.
