Lisk (LSK) Announce the release of Lisk Core 1.0.0 to mainnet: LSK/USD jumps 10%

  • Lisk trading up by 26.5% while the price surges to trade near $3.40.

Lisk spiked on Thursday following the announcement made to the community on Thursday. The price jumped more than 10% on the day. Similarly, LSK/USD recently decline and recorded lows slightly below $2.5. The higher correction has seen the price trade near $3.40. There is also an increase in the trading volume by 26.5% according to CoinMarketCap. The market capitalization has gone up slightly from $305 million at the end of the session yesterday to $351 at the time of writing.

The Lisk team was delighted to announce the release one of its biggest milestones, Lisk Core 1.0.0 to mainnet.  “We are very happy to announce that the major release of Lisk Core 1.0 is ready to reach the main network, Mainnet.” The announcement says in continuation:

“The migration of Lisk Core 1.0 to Mainnet will happen when we reach block height 6,901,027 at the end of round 68327. We expect this block height to arrive on Wednesday, August 29, no sooner than 11:00 AM CEST (Important: all the times are approximate).”

The mainnet has been improved to include Quality Assurance (QA). Moreover, the team involved the community in fine tuning Core 1.0.0 The input from the contributors reached over 8,000 commits while more than 1,000 issues were closed with thousands of peer reviews. Moreover, the beta phase went on for several months while the development team carried out a couple of testnet migrations in order to ascertain stability and quality.  In addition:

“Lisk Core 1.0 comes a new API design, a new P2P communication layer, and additional features such as an entirely new data field that provides you with the option to include a custom message with your transaction. It also includes atomic block writes, structured test suites and code migrated to JavaScript ES6.”
