Cardano community team released a bi-weekly newsletter which provided news and updates about the company.

Cardano hires a new Sr. Product Manager

IOHK, the company behind Cardano, announced David Esser, as senior product manager for the Cardano blockchain platform. Mr. Essar was the co-founder and technology or operating chief at two successful start-ups, DBO2 (now Predictive Solutions) and RepairPal.

Essar said:

“I’m excited to start at IOHK and join the Cardano project - the industry is missing a third-generation blockchain platform that is built from the ground up to be the foundation for large enterprise-class applications. I’m thrilled to join this team and play a part in building it.”

Cardano 1.5 Testnet Release

Cardano 1.5.0 released Daedalus 0.13.0 with Cardano SL 3.0.0. This version added support for the Ouroboros BFT protocol. Cardano Community tweeted the following:

“Today, Cardano 1.5 has been released on the test net. This is for later releases to the main net. This release is a milestone because it is the last Cardano release in the Byron development phase.”
