Ethereum price analysis: ETH/USD back on positive track as community follow Buterin-Coindesk quarrel.

  • Ethereum is well supported above 200-DMA, short-term picture looks positive.
  • Ethereum founder boycotts CoinDesk conference.

Ethereum recovered above 200-DMA to trade at $656 at the time of writing. The second largest coin gained about 2% on the day with short-term sentiment remains positive as long as it stays above $620 support created by upside trendline and 200-SMA on the hourly chart. The critical resistance is seen at $700, followed by $730 (50% Fibo retracement level).

Meanwhile, Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin clashed with CoinDesk, crypto specialized media resource, for terrible coverage of EIP 999 and irresponsible approach towards source links, as one of ConDesk articles contained a direct link to a giveaway scam. He is boycotting CoinDesk's Consensus 2018 conference. OmiseGo team supported the boycott.

"We have decided to join @vitalikbuterin in not attending #Consensus2018. We can’t in good conscience support a publication that puts its readers at risk through careless reporting and reacts with hostility rather than humility when the error is brought to its attention," their Twitter reads.
