Cryptocurrency market update: bulls are back into play

  • The market is gowing strongly after a beriod of consolidaton.
  • ETC is the best-performer of the day.

Cryptocurrency market resumed growing as Bitcoin and all major altcoins demonstrate significant gains on a day0on-day basis. The total capitalization of all digital assets in circulation surged to $185 billion  from $174 on April 5, while an average daily trading volume settled to $61B, off the recent peak $89 billion hit on April 3. 

Top-3 coins price overview: 

  • Bitcoin (BTC) broke above $5,300 handle and hit a new high of $5,348 during early Asian hours. At the time of writing, the coin is changing hands at $5,318 with 5.5% gains on a day-on-day basis. The upside momentum is gaining traction away amid growing volatility.  
  • Ethereum (ETH) catapulted above $185.00 to change hands at $185.28 at the time of writing. The coin has gained over 10% since this time on Sunday and became the best-performing digital asset out of top-10. 
  • Ripple’s XRP touched an area above $0.3800 on Sunday and settled below $0.3700 by the time of writing. The third largest digital asset grew by 3% on a daily basis. 

The biggest market-movers:

  • Ethereum Classic (ETC) lis the growth leader of the day out of top-20. The coin has gained over 16% to trade at $7.67. The coin is vulnerable to the downside correction as the further bullish run is limited by $8.00.
  • TRON (TRX) settled at $0.0289. The coin is up nearly 8% on a daily basis after a strong upside move during the previous week.
  • Stellar (XLM) is also doing well with 7.5% gains on a daily basis. It is changing hands at $0.1346.
