Deriv targets the first-transfer gap with a 20% margin credit for new sign-ups

Most brokers track sign-up numbers. Fewer track what happens between sign-up and first deposit, the period where a meaningful portion of new traders quietly disengage. Deriv's April campaign is built around that gap, with a promotion designed exclusively for new sign-ups making their very first move into the markets.

Deriv has launched a time-limited promotion giving newly registered traders a 20% bonus on their first wallet-to-MT5 transfer, credited directly to their trading account as usable margin, up to a maximum of $100.

The promotion is aimed specifically at traders who create a new Deriv account between 6 and 30 April 2026 and make their first deposit during that same period. The offer applies to both Deriv MT5 Standard and Deriv MT5 Financial accounts.

“With this promotion, we're removing one of the biggest barriers for new traders, the hesitation around that first deposit," said Prakash Bhudia, Chief Growth Officer at Deriv. "A 20% margin boost from day one means new clients can start trading with more breathing room and greater flexibility from the moment they sign up."

Traders eligible for the bonus can choose between two account types. The MT5 Standard account offers access to a broad range of CFDs, including forex, commodities, and stock indices, with floating spreads and no commission. The MT5 Financial account is designed for those focused on forex, including exotic pairs, and other financial instruments, with tighter spreads and leverage suited to more active trading strategies. Both account types support the full MT5 environment, including automated trading via Expert Advisors, advanced charting, and multi-timeframe analysis.

The promotion is open globally, with the exception of clients and partners in the UAE and EU. Partners can access campaign creatives through the Partner's Hub, alongside an AI-powered ad generation tool for customised assets.

With this promotion, Deriv continues its focus on lowering the barriers to entry for new traders, providing meaningful incentives that support more confident and flexible trading from day one.

Traders can open an account with Deriv to take part. The campaign runs until 30 April 2026. Full terms and conditions are available here.
