US: ISM manufacturing index climbs to 53.2 in June, beating expectations
|The Institute for Supply Management gauge on US manufacturing activity showed activity in the sector rose more than expected in June.
The ISM manufacturing index climbed to 53.2 in June from 51.3 the previous month, and above the 51.5 expected by analysts. This is the second rise in a row and the fourth straight month the gauge pointed to expansion (readings above 50.0)
US ISM Prices Paid dropped to 60.5 vs 63.5 the previous month and consensus.
