US finds wire rod dumping from five countries - Reuters

The US Commerce Department has found evidence of wire rod dumping from five separate nations according to Reuters.

Key details

On Tuesday the US Commerce Department stated they had made final findings in their investigation into carbon and steel alloy wire rods sold on the US market from Italy, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, and Britain. A petition last year from several steel companies within the US started the investigation and found that all five countries sold wire rod far below the fair market value, with Italy and Turkey providing countervailable subsidies to producers at the same time. The finding will allow Commerce to impose tariffs of almost 150% for five years.
