US Commerce Sec Ross: Even if EU and others retaliate, impact on US econ won't be much

Additional comments from the US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross is now crossing the wires, via Reuters, as he is speaking on CNBC.

"U.S. Commerce secretary Ross says even if EU and others retaliate for U.S. metals tariffs, it is unlikely to have much impact on U.S. economy."

"Asked about reaction from EU on U.S. tariffs, Ross says he believes everyone will get over it in due time."

Earlier in the session, Ross has announced that the US would start imposing 25% steel and 10% aluminum tariffs on the European Union, Canada, and Mexico by midnight tonight.
