Trump's tariffs to be similar to the preliminary list - Wall Street Journal

As reported by the Wall Street Journal citing unnamed sources, the current list of tariffs up for consideration is similar, if not almost identical, to the preliminary list of tariffs targeting $50 billion worth of Chinese goods. The preliminary list has been floating around for a while now, with China and the US suddenly reaching a cooldown in trade talks.

That peaceful period appears to be over as the US preps to impose their tariffs on China, with the unnamed sources also claiming that Trump has already approved the tariffs, and it's just a matter of when he will announce them. Traders can expect a China retort in the hours ahead when Chinese markets come on-line.
