South Korea confirms 518 new coronavirus cases

Coronavirus continues to spread outside China.

The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in South Korea rose by 518 on Friday, taking the total to 6824 cases.  There were seven more deaths, bringing the country’s total to 42 deaths, according to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Meanwhile, new coronavirus cases in mainland China rose by 143 on March 5 versus 139 on March 4, according to Reuters.
