RBA seen keeping interest rate at record lows until end-2018: Reuters Poll

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is seen keeping interest rate unchanged at the record low of 1.5 percent until end-2018 as the central bank awaits pickup in the wage price inflation, a Reuters poll of economists showed.

  2. Rate outlook seen unchanged until end-2018 - median of 41 analysts
  3. 19 of 41 respondents see rate at 1.75 pct by March 2019, 6 forecast two hikes, 15 predict the steady outlook
  4. RBA cash rates seen at 2.0 pct by Sept 2019 - median of 38 respondents
