OPEC to consider inviting US after Presidential vote

OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo told reporters in London on Tuesday that the Cartel would consider inviting US to talks in Vienna only after the US presidential election on November 8.

At the meeting in Vienna, OPEC members are expected to agree to limit production to a range of between 32.5 million barrels per day (bpd) and 33 million bpd. However, US has made it clear that it does not support any oil quotas—even quotas the US is not a party to.
