Reuters reports the latest comments by New Zealand’s Agriculture Minister Damien O'Connor, as he says that the government is considering a ban on the live export of cattle.

A conditional ban on the live export of cattle is one of several options being considered as part of a review of the trade in live animals. 

Discussed it with cabinet on Monday.

Will soon take an options paper to them for cross-party consultation.

Then to the cabinet economic development committee for consideration in late July.
