FTSE futures point to moderate risk-on in equities

UK’s FTSE 100 futures are trading moderately higher in Asia, indicating the mining heavy index could continue its post referendum recovery set in motion yesterday.

At the time of writing, the futures were up 0.16% at 6148 levels. Meanwhile, Germany’s DAX was up 0.55% at 9556 levels. The positive action in the FTSE futures also pushed Dow futures and S&P 500 futures higher by 0.30% each.

FTSE index and Cable has become a barometer of risk sentiment for the markets ever since the UK voted to leave the EU.
