Coronavirus update US: Arizona cases rise by 3,333

The latest data from Arizona showed that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state rose by 3,333 on Thursday to 87,425. This reading followed Tuesday's increase of 4,878.

Meanwhile, New York reported 875 new cases, an increase of 1.25% on a daily basis.

Market reaction

These figures don't seem to be having a significant impact on sentiment. As of writing, the S&P 500 Index was up 1% on the day at 3,147, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was gaining 0.97% and the Nasdaq Composite was rising 1.02%.
