China Textile and Apparel Council: Deeply concerned about escalating US-China trade friction

According to a statement on China National Textile and Apparel Council website, the council was deeply concerned about the intensifying trade tensions between the US and China, as cited by Reuters.

The body added that it resolutely opposes additional U.S. tariffs on China’s textile and textile equipment exports.

Earlier this week, the US administration threatened to slap another of tariffs on extra USD 200 billion worth of China’s imports.

Meanwhile, the China Customs was reported today, as saying that the Chinese economy remains exposed to downward risks due to some country's unilateralism and protectionism.
