China Customs: China's foreign trade up 3.9% in H1, Aussie hovers around 0.70

According to the latest data published by the China Customs, China's foreign trade is up 3.9% in H1, Xinhua reports.

Key Details:

H1 yuan-denominated exports +6.1%.

H1 yuan-denominated imports +1.4%.

H1 trade balance +1.23 trln yuan.

The external environment still complex and severe.

China's trade faces a flurry of challenges.

China's long-term improving trend has not changed.

Total trade with the US in H1 2019 down 9%.

On the Chinese trade data release, the Aussie kept its bullish momentum intact around the 0.70 handle, as the bulls continue to benefit from broad-based US dollar weakness.
