Canadian PM Trudeau calls Monday cabinet session, meeting with steel associations

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called a short-notice Cabinet meeting in Ottawa first thing Monday. The ministers' meeting is expected to focus on the US' metals tariffs that were imposed late last week.

The Canadian PM will also be meeting with representatives from the Canadian Steel Producers Association; the announcement of both meetings follows weekend headlines that US economic advisor Larry Kudlow believes the Canadian leader is "overreacting" to the trade dispute.

Comments and statements from the two meetings are expected to begin trickling into the market feeds between 14:00 and 18:00 GMT Tuesday.
