AUD/USD technical analysis: Aussie bulls protect 0.6900 ahead of RBA

  • The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is going to publish its Meeting Minutes at 1:30 GMT. They will be followed by RBA’s Governor Lowe speech at 2:15 GMT.
  • Will the bulls reach 0.6960 to the upside or will bears reclaim the main trend by pushing prices to 0.6860 swing low? Stay tuned.

AUD/USD is trading in a bear trend below its main simple moving averages (SMAs). 


AUD/USD 4-hour chart

AUD/USD is trading to the downside below its main SMAs suggesting bearish momentum in the medium term.

AUD/USD 30-minute chart


The Aussie gapped up this Sunday as the market is keeping the bullish pressure above the 0.6900 figure and the 100 SMA. A break above 0.6935 resistance can lead to another leg up to 0.6960. Support is at 0.6890 and 0.6860 swing low.
