Matt Simpson's New Year Resolutions

  • Gauge market sentiment using fundamental information
As a Technical Analyst I find this difficult to say… However I do see the merit in integrating fundamental information alongside price action to gauge the sentiment of a market or price movement. My analysis will remain technical from the ground up, but the sentiment analysis would be an extra part of the puzzle to fine-tune my technical analysis and filter out higher probability technical trades.

  • Improve Efficiency
Providing analysis of multiple markets and timeframes for clients, whilst extremely enjoyable, can become very demanding. Trying to fit my own trading on top of this can be problematic, particularly as I do not know in advance how busy the markets will be. I need to become more efficient in managing these multiple work streams to benefit both our clients and my personal trading.

  • Increase Exercise
There is more sitting behind my desk than I would like to admit, and sitting down all day can become tiring in an unhealthy way. Therefore, I want to increase my exercise to feel more energised, in control and focused on my trading.
