Self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator is sued for  stealing $5 billion in Bitcoins

Craig Wright , an Australian entrepreneur and cybersecurity specialist, got entangled in a new scandal. Back in 2016 he claimed that he invented Bitcoin under Satoshi ‎Nakamoto nickname, but had to backtrack as he failed to provide the adequate proof of his words.

Now he is accused of using fake contracts and signatures to lay hands on cryptocurrency mined by Dave Kleiman, who died in 2013.  Kleiman was a talented computer analyst and author of multiple books on IT security. In 2011, he and Wright established a company and allegedly jointly possessed 1.1 million Bitcoins at the time.

According to Bloomberg report, the lawsuit is filed by  Kleinman’s brother, who believes that he and his family is entitled to the digital assets to the tune of $5 billion.

“Craig forged a series of contracts that purported to transfer Dave’s assets to Craig or companies controlled by him. Craig backdated these contracts and forged Dave’s signature on them.’’ - Kleiman’s family lawyers said in the complaint, cited by Bloomberg.

Craig Wright was not readily available for the comment.
