Samsung to launch a wider range of cryptocurrency features on Galaxy line of phones

  • Samsung is set to further expand their crypt and blockchain capabilities across line of Galaxy phones.
  • The new features will be available for even the lower-cost models from Samsung.

 

South Korean electronics giant Samsung has been working very strongly on their blockchain projects publicly since 2018. They are now pushing to bring cryptocurrency and blockchain features to more phones across its Galaxy range.

Local press in Korea – Business Korea, noted that the company are set to make their digital wallet app available for use across their lower-cost models. In addition to further expansion on their lower-cost models, the details being cited from a company press release.

Samsung Electronics’ wireless business division senior managing director, Chae Won-cheol spoke on the release said:

We will lower barriers to new experiences by gradually expanding the number of Galaxy models that support blockchain functions. We will also expand our service target countries after Korea, the United States and Canada.
