Ripple gains 10 new partners for the University Blockchain Research Initiative

  • Another 10 top universities have joined Ripple’s blockchain research program, the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI).
  • UBRI is going to help grow the blockchain technology ecosystem.

Ripple’s blockchain research program, the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) has gained 10 new top university partners. The universities are Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Duke, Georgetown, Morgan State, Kansas, Michigan and Northeastern universities in the U.S., and the National University of Singapore and the University of Sao Paulo internationally.

UBRI currently has 29 university members. Their main aim is to help grow the blockchain technology ecosystem. According to  Ripple’s SVP of global operations, Eric van Miltenburg:

“In less than a year, our initial UBRI partners hit the ground running with the launch of new research projects, events, course offerings and more. ..Expanding the ecosystem to a more global, diversified network of UBRI partners will only continue to enrich these projects.”
