Is eBay preparing to introduce crypto payments?

According to a few leaked images of eBay's, one of the world largest online market places, marketing material prepared for Consensus 2019, the company might be preparing to introduce a payment system accepting cryptocurrencies.

Although eBay had voiced its interest to accept virtual currencies for the first time back in 2017, it is yet to carry out that intention.

“Virtual Currency. It’s happening on eBay,” the ad read. It's still unclear, however, if the platform is planning to accept various currencies or partner up with a platform that already has a virtual payment system in place. Some market rumours even suggest that the retail-giant could make an exclusive deal with Binance Exchange to use its native coin, the Binance Coin (BNB).

Boosted by these rumours and the announcement from the company's CEO saying that the platform will resume deposits and withdrawals starting Tuesday, the BNB is adding more than 10% on a daily basis.
