The leaders of G20 countries are going to discuss cryptocurrencies and other digital assets during the next summit that will take place in Argentina next week.

The public document with the meeting agenda indicates that the finance ministers and central bank governors are going to discuss the digital assets and the underlying technology.

"The technology behind crypto assets has the potential to promote financial inclusion. At the same time, however, it is important to analyze its implications for financial stability, tax evasion and illegal financial activities. The issue is an important item on the meeting agenda; delegates will consider a common response that would mitigate the risks without discouraging innovation," - it says.

Japan, France, and Germany urged G20 countries to discuss issues related to crypto assets with the aim to take coordinated steps to prevent them from being used for illegal activities.

The talks are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday, according to the information, provided by the summit's media representative to CoinDesk.
