Deadline extended by Mt Gox Trustee for Filing a Rehabilitation Plan

  • Mt Gox prolongs Rehabilitation plans by the end of October
  • The appeal was granted by The Tokyo District Court.

Mt Gox‘s trustee, Nobuaki Kobayashi, prolonged the time limit for its rehabilitation plans to the end of October, as published on the defunct exchange’s website on Thursday. The original deadline of filing the plan was on April 26th but due to the number of rejected claims, it was moved to October 28th, 2019. The appeal was granted by The Tokyo District Court.

As per the update:

“A large amount of rehabilitation claims that the Rehabilitation Trustee fully or partially disapproved remains undetermined for being subject to claim assessment procedures. Accordingly, it is not possible at this moment to make appropriate provisions in a rehabilitation plan on modifications of the rights of the rehabilitation claims, repayment methods, and appropriate measures for the undetermined rehabilitation claims and therefore to submit a rehabilitation plan by April 26, 2019.”
