  • Users can leverage the application using QR codes via the watch to send and receive payments.

Bluewallet which is a Lightning Network wallet application has made seen a large development in launching an Apple Watch version of its wallet. Users will be able to simply bring up a QR code that another user can then scan to send and receive payments.

An official from the company commented on the announcement:

“It’s a small experiment we’re doing to put wallets on the watch. The first releases will be simple, allowing you to receive lightning payments.”

Further adding:

It’s possible for this app to find a new space in the routine of Lightning Network traders, but we’ll have to see. If feedback is good, we’ll spend more time on the project. It’s a very early stage industry so we’re trying to figure out how to build this stuff properly.”
