US stocks set to post record highs over next few months – Argus Research [Video]

Record highs on the cards for the US Stock Market as the fundamental picture remains attractive, says John Eade, President at Argus Research, as we discuss the earnings season in the US, the attractive sectors and the outlook ahead for the US stocks. Interviewed by Nick Batsford, CEO at Tip TV.

The combination of the expected low rates well into 2017, and the pick up in consumer spending will bode well for earnings in 2017, which implies that the "markets will likely post new highs over the next few months" according to Eade.

The Q2 earnings season is expected to be better than Q1, and will only improve as we move into Q3 and Q4, says Eade as he explains that the swing in energy prices resulted in a bad earnings season in the first quarter, but with oil prices picking up, the second half is likely to be good.

Continuing to speak on the US Stock Market, Eade highlights the industrial sector to fare well as Oil and Gas companies increase their capex.
