The NZD/JPY pair opened above the daily Ichimoku cloud [Video]

The NZD/JPY pair opened above the daily Ichimoku cloud during today’s Asian session, as the market players await New Zealand’s GDP. The reading for Q2 is expected to remain unchanged at 2.5% on a YoY basis, while on a quarterly basis, it is expected to tick higher to 0.8% from the previous 0.5%. But before all this, we first have the UK retail sales during the London session at 8:30 AM GMT, followed by the all-important FOMC rate decision during the New York session at 6 PM. The Fed is expected to keep rates unchanged at 1.25% given the current state of the economy and natural disasters hitting the Americas one after another. What could create some volatility though, would be the Fed’s tone and outlook on their next steps. Thanks for watching, invest responsibly and I wish you the best of luck making pips by trading forex.
