Gold, Oil price spikes on Israel, Palestine escalations [Video]

Commodity prices surged on Monday, as markets reacted to the growing tensions in the Middle-East.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a “state of war”, after Hammas militants conducted an unprecedented attack over the weekend.

Condemnation of the attacks have come from several G-7 nations, with the U.S. President Joe Biden giving Israel his full backing.

Many are now anticipating a strong response from Netayahu’s government, who have called up to 300,000 reservist troops.

WTI rose by over 4%, with Gold rebounding from a recent 7-month low.
